A Journey in the timeless dimension

There is a dimension of reality that is not always accessible to everyone. To be able to enter it, it is necessary to make a quantum leap of consciousness and it is only in this way that you can enter the timeless dimension. It is complicated stuff you must be thinking, not so much as it may see in reality, and the good news is that there are some places where the quantum leap is facilitated by a number of events that I will explain in this article. The most important thing to know however is that a good glass of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano acts as a further catalyst and can certainly help in the endeavor!

Just try to consider that the linear dimension of time is not the only one that exists; it is just an interpretative scheme of our cognitive mind, and there are other dimensions that open up endless possibilities and allow us to travel between the different planes of reality. Like the tracks of a CD that exist all together at the same time but, in order to be heard, it is necessary to let the tracks unfold in a linear way. However, nothing prevents us from listening and re-listening to them in the order that suits us best.

We are in the timelessness dimension here: we are at Palazzo Contucci, where strange things happen, voices are heard, lives and eras intertwine, here, now simultaneously.

Reality as perceived by each of us is nothing more than the collapse of infinite probabilities in a precise point in space and time, and here at Palazzo Contucci the probabilities of a reality soaked with substantial nobility have collapsed in a precise point located in Piazza Grande 13 in Montepulciano.

There is more than what appears as a prestigious Renaissance palace of Antonio da Sangallo to the objective reality; there more than the historical wine cellar particularly and subjectively interesting to the lovers of good wine and tradition; there is more than the masterful symbolic representation of reality perpetrated in the marvelous frescoes of Andrea Pozzo that, on the two-dimensional walls, are represented with a multidimensional perspective. But then again, are we really sure those walls have actually only two dimensions?

Let us return for a moment to the dimension of linear time now, where there is a before and an after, and therefore before the mesmerizing Cellar, before the magnificent Palace built in the Renaissance, way before all this there was Montepulciano, and Montepulciano was all about Wine. Wine here was so good as it was made with the most Noble Grapes and affordable only to the Noblesse. Wine was so precious here that it had to be kept in a vault, and where would you build a vault in medieval times but in the fortified town walls?

The Contucci family knew better, and that is exactly where you can find the secular cellar today, inside the ancient walls of Montepulciano. The walls were filled with wine, and the wine was going to be their lifeline over the centuries. Contucci’s blend has been very much the same for 40 generations now; the classic Nobile made with Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo Nero, Colorino and Mammolo. Now if you think the “basic” wine is the easy one to make you are very much mistaken! It is actually the other way around! And basically, here we are talking about one outstanding “entry level” Nobile!

Palazzo Contucci, full of history and stories! It breaths, vibrates, tells, shows, to those who have the gift and can hear and see. A gift, but also a curse.

So many stories! Stories of indulgence and resentment, joy and pain, hate and love. Love yes, I want to talk about love! Because it is the day the Contucci and Avignonesi promise each other eternal love! The wedding of the century, the most prized wine of course! It had to be PALAZZO CONTUCCI. The new couple happily twirling and dancing with their cups overflowing with wine, a new family, a new life, a new bloodline, the same lifeline, Nobile wine. And I swear I could feel them, I heard them laughing, yes, they were laughing, I think I even saw them, and they were gone! Sorry Andrea what were you saying? Oh the ancient grand piano! Composers over the centuries have sat here! May I? Yes, I do play, very poorly indeed…

Musicians come and go, and they all have the single vineyard PIETRA ROSSA as their favorite, a harmonious symphony of fragrances and flavors! Andrea calls us down to the cellar! Hurry! There’s a bit of a turmoil, what’s going to on down there? We all rushed down the stairs, down in the heart of the walls, so fast that I totally forgot about my claustrophobia!

It is tasting and evaluation day today, with Giulio, yes the great master himself, the legendary Giulio Gambelli. Today they are tasting the barrels of the MULIN VECCHIO single vineyard, and although Adamo always tries to trick Giulio, his palate remains infallible and he is able to recognize every single barrel as he sips. With Adamo they were a formidable couple of tasters, so much so that during official evaluation sessions they had to be separated because, let’s put it this way, two pieces of evidence is a fact! And they risked influencing the judgment of the other members of the commission!

Adamo, another piece of history, I would have stayed there forever listening to his tales! Adamo, who calls me the blonde little cutie, another time machine, a stargate to any dimension with his deep blue eyes full of love and wisdom.

It is getting dark now, the twilight is gone and it is too late to go watch the beautiful sunset over Val d’Orcia. Andrea blesses us both with his wonderful VIN SANTO, made with Malvasia Bianca, Trebbiano Toscano e Grechetto grapes. Fragrant liquid gold, and a soothing caress after such an intense afternoon. We say goodbye and leave with the heart full of joy and gratitude.

This is not a fantasy tale, it is a true story, it has already happened and will continue to happen in the reality of quantum consciousness, in the timeless dimension, where anything can happen, where miracles happen. Here everything is, and it is everything. Over a thousand years of history, of lives that intertwine, of love, joy and sorrows in the ancestral and eternal memory of the DNA of all its characters. And so, it happened also that a young girl visiting from the past, who did not like red wine at all, finally met the other version of herself sitting in the tasting room with some friends, irremediably conquered by Nobile di Montepulciano, nobly presented by the unparalleled Andrea Contucci who knows how to take you by the hand and lead you on an exciting journey of the senses through the glass.
